The entire list is completion-based. One portion of the trophies is for completing the story, the other portion for doing all side missions and collectibles.
The way it works is that you go to Radio Towers, and activating them reveals all collectibles in the surrounding areas. More collectible types and suits become available gradually as you progress the story.
If something is locked it means you need to play more of the story. After the story you can free-roam around the map to do anything you still need, thus nothing is missable.
You can tackle the trophies in any order you like so the below Roadmap is just what I did but you can mix things up and work on collectibles as you play, if you want.
Just enjoy the game any way you see fit. Nothing is missable and you can do everything in whatever order you like. Focusing on nothing but the story, a playthrough will last hours. There are no difficulty-related trophies. The reason you should focus on story first is that many of the collectibles and suits are locked behind story progress. Use the Radio Towers that are marked on the map by default to reveal all Collectible Locations. Keep them all until after the story! That means you can get away with mediocre scores.
Most of your time will go into the collectible cleanup. There are Collectibles spread across 15 categories. Lastly, do all of the collectibles in all districts. The crimes pop up every meters traveled within a district.
Then only events of the remaining types will spawn. After clearing all crimes in a district they will keep spawning infinitely in case you need more Crime Tokens. These 3 types of tokens are affected by your performance. Those are the only things you may not have gotten through natural progression yet. They are all very quick to do in a matter of minutes. Refer to the trophy guide below for their specifics and the Spider-Man Platinum will be yours. They all get marked on the map automatically when you use the Surveillance Towers.
These Towers are marked on the map by default after the first few missions. Therefore, no collectible guide is needed. Simply use the towers to reveal all collectibles. You can still grab everything after the story in free-roam. Nothing is missable. All the others guide you through the mission with waypoints. For bonus tokens, complete the displayed tasks. Enter the research stations and interact with the display inside, then it tells you what the task is and how to complete it generally with waypoints.
Also, make sure they got a green checkmark on the map. Research Stations can also be tracked via the Missions Menu. Combat Challenges require you to defeat all enemies as fast as possible, Stealth requires you to defeat all enemies quickly without being seen, Bomb is about defusing bombs as quickly as you can, and Drone is about following a drone and hitting waypoints as fast as possible.
After clearing all challenges, the Taskmaster boss will show up and fight you note: if you lose, just replay a challenge and he will fight you again. Just swing up and down a district and they will show up. After all crimes of all factions are done, more crimes will keep spawning in case you need more Crime Tokens for upgrades. Master of Masters Defeat Taskmaster.
After finishing all 16 Taskmaster Challenges, he will show up and fight you. Challenges are a late-game unlock, they become available as you progress through the story. Note: If you lose the match against Taskmaster, just replay another challenge and he will fight you again. Cat Prints Track down Black Cat. Each suit costs Tokens which you get from collectibles and challenges. The game is easy enough to beat without upgrades, better keep your Tokens till the end.
It gets marked on the map via a blue icon. Below are walkthroughs for each quest with their starting points and locations where you will find the student:. Each challenge has 3 reward tiers, depending on your score from worst to best : Amazing, Spectacular, Ultimate. Spectacular which you need for the 4 challenge trophies is right in the middle and very doable within tries. Once completed they remain on the map and can be replayed. If you struggle with one challenge, move on to the next — there are multiple of each type.
Demons Emerge Complete Act 1 Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Science FTW! Craft 15 Upgrades This requires you to craft 15 Gadget Upgrades. Select a gadget to view its upgrades. Knocking Down Kingpin Defeat Fisk. When the fight starts there are two turrets in the room.
When he calls his henchmen, defeat them first and then shoot webs at Fisk again and attack. Staying Positive Defeat Li. This unlocks during your third and final combat encounter with Li, in Act 3 near the end of the story. Then you can perform combos on him. Just keep dodging around him and attack when the button prompt shows up. The same tactic applies, dodge until he and his demon get tired and then you can attack. Grounded Defeat Electro and Vulture. This is a midair combat against two bosses at the same time.
To defeat Electro, use the web-shooters to stun him and perform combos. When he uses the power generators to send out pillars of energy, destroy the generators with your web-shooter. This will weaken Electro.
Vulture joins the fight shortly after Electro has taken his first big beating from you. Vulture can easily be dodged and is then open for a follow-up. You can also stun him with web-shooters and follow up with a combo. Sting and Smash Defeat Scorpion and Rhino. The fight starts out with Rhino. There are many objects around the area that can be used against Rhino. Scorpion joins the fight shortly after Rhino takes damage. You can use web-shooters against Scorpion and follow up with a combo.
Tombstone Takedown Defeat Tombstone. Tombstone is an optional boss at the end of a 3-part side quest line. You must play the following 3 side missions and will face Tombstone at the end:. It unlocks as you progress through the story and can still be played after the story, so just keep playing until it becomes available. The 3 quests are very easy and short and have waypoint markers for everything.
Defeat those and then attack Tombstone. This will take his powers away and makes him vulnerable. Shock and Awe Defeat Shocker. In the third phase, he is trapped below a chandelier. Dodge a few times until he stops attacking to recharge. Repeat until the chandelier is destroyed and falls onto Shocker.
Wing It Traverse across the city rooftops The official trophy requirement is a bit misleading and oddly worded. The exact requirement is to disturb flocks of pigeons. As you swing through the city you will disturb flocks of pigeons and they fly away. This will come through natural gameplay. In fact, it will be one of your first trophies I got it a little while after Shocker boss fight while swinging through the city.
They changed the wording but the requirement is still the same and they kept the pigeon on the trophy icon. The Benchmarks are simply a form of game stat and provide you with free XP. And Stay Down! So first you have to reach this mission and it will unlock the Tripe Mine Gadget. The fastest way to farm this is in the Fisk Hideout of Harlem if it has already been completed you can replay it at any time by returning to the hideout.
Missing one base token
While some suits like Spider-Punk were offered as pre-order bonuses, all suits can be earned in-game through a little bit of legwork. Read at your own peril! Still with us?
If you need any help regarding any aspect of the game, then this guide will be useful to you. You will be able to use various objects in the environment to deal some massive damage, so watch out for those button prompts and make sure you use what;s around you. One of the great things about playing as Spidey is that you can just swing away to safety when things get too intense. This allows you to calm down a bit, and also gives you a chance to try out a new strategy to take out the enemies you are facing.
In Marvel's Spider-Man for PS4, Spidey can take on bases full of thugs to earn Base Tokens by completing these encounters, mixing both stealth and wave-based brawls. Upon first entering a base, you are able to dive right into battle or whittle down the first group of enemies, but soon they will become alerted and will start pouring in wave-based rushes of enemies armed with different weapons. Like Crimes and Crime Tokens, each of the bases come with 2 Sub-Objectives unique to that base, and if completed will earn you extra Base Tokens. However, unlike Crimes, bases are singular events, and while they can be replayed, you can only earn a maximum of 3 tokens per base. Bases will first unlock with the Fisk Hideout Main Mission, but over the course of the game, more bases will be added as other forces seek to take control of Manhattan, giving you more chances to earn more tokens as the game progresses.
