Recently featured in Stuff magazine, these two ladies are not only dreams, but they also play games! We had a chance to ask the two ladies some questions about games, Underground , and even Arnold Schwarzenegger, so sit back, relax, and get to know these gals a little better. In turn, they got in touch with my agent in New York.
Rachel gives the player a tutorial at the beginning of Need for Speed: Underground 2 , which includes how to use the SMS system, minimap and how to access events. She lets the player drive her Nissan Z to meet her at a car dealership. The player can enter two race events, enter outruns and a hidden race in Rachel's car to earn money. Rachel becomes increasingly angrier at the player as they enter events, but she ultimately forgives them upon reaching the car dealership. Rachel helps the player frequently throughout the game by giving them tips on driving, secret shops, important events and sometimes hidden events.
Need for Speed Underground
You've read my preview and you've probably heard about NFS: Underground. If not, drop the magazine and go pick up an issue of Cosmo. You're not one of our readers. Truthfully, my opinion has only grown since actually playing the full build of the game. I like the fact that EA went so in-depth in the manner in which they captured the import scene. If you're good enough, your car will be featured on the cover of a magazine like Option, ImportTuner and National Enquirer, of course. You have the ability to hook up your car every which way, from the littlest things like cosmetic mods and window tinting to the big-ass turbos and fat exhaust systems. Progress far enough in the game, and things become more and more intense, as rivalries develop and your competition gets faster and fiercer. There are some who complain about the game having so few cars, but let's face it: Who wants to see anything but Supras, Skylines and Eclipses in a game like this?
Need for Speed Underground 2
Need for Speed: Underground 2 is a cross-platform racing video game and the eighth installment in the Need for Speed series, the direct sequel to Need for Speed: Underground. It was also commercially successful, breaking sales records in the United Kingdom. The game entails tuning cars for street races, resuming the Need for Speed: Underground storyline. Need for Speed: Underground 2 provides several new features, such as a broader customization, new methods of selecting races, the "explore" mode in a large city known as "Bayview". Brooke Burke is the voice of Rachel Teller, the person who guides the player throughout the game.
Two different games were produced, one for consoles and Windows , and the other for the Game Boy Advance. Underground rebooted the franchise, ignoring the previous Need for Speed games which featured sports cars and exotics. It was the first game in the series to offer a career mode featuring a storyline, and a garage mode that allowed players to fully customize their cars with a large variety of brand-name performance and visual upgrades.
The campaign kicks off in the July issue of Max Power, with creative centring on the search to find the best Max Power car in the world. The campaign will climax with the best cars, as voted by the Max Power readers, being shipped to the UK for an ultimate race off at in November to coincide with the launch of the game. The PlayStation2 and Xbox game takes gamers into the world of souped-up cars in an large free-roaming city divided into five neighbourhoods where players will encounter rival racers who will initiate events, tip players off to the hottest racing spots, and show them where to buy the most sought-after licensed aftermarket upgrades. The new game features cover girl Brooke Burke starring as a streetwise underground race organiser named Rachel, who takes players under her wing and guides them through the game's large free-roaming city environment.
The car-racing genre is dead. A bold statement you might think, and perhaps a trifle premature, but the omens are definitely there. The list goes on, and now the world's biggest publisher has weighed in with its newest offering. Need For Speed Underground 2 takes the formula of the first game illegal street racing and boy racer-ish car tuning , and adds a drive-anywhere city, resulting in a mixture of freeform exploration and non-linear racing that's sure to get GTA fans thinking. This is a significant shift from the original Underground, which presented the illusion of a coherent city but was really just a series of interconnecting tracks.
